Family Friendly Ski Areas in Southern Colorado
Living in Colorado, we’re fortunate to have some of the premier ski areas in the world and, even if you’re not a skier, you are surely familiar with the names of some of the mega resorts that dot the northern half of our state. Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Vail and others lie along the interstate 70 corridor and annually attract thousands of skiers to their slopes. However, the southern half of the state has some lesser known areas that can be great places for a family ski trip. If you want to enjoy a great winter getaway with the family, you’re likely to find fewer people and a better value at some of these areas that are still within a reasonable drive from Colorado Springs.
