4 Things to Avoid When Choosing a Sunscreen
According to the Environmental Working Group or EWG, which is an American environmental organization that specializes in research and advocacy in the areas of toxic chemicals, there are key things you need to avoid when choosing a sunscreen.
- Spray Sunscreens: They can be inhaled and don’t cover completely
- SPF’s over 50: They can be misleading and don’t offer extra coverage
- Oxybenzone: This ingredient is linked to hormonal disruption
- Retinyl Palmitate: This ingredient can actually trigger sun damage to skin
